Revitalisation of Hydropower Plants

Due to the often inappropriate design of old plants and their wear over decades, a revitalisation is usually associated with a substantial increase in performance.

In order to be able to carry out a revitalisation sensibly, plant data such as the range of water quantity. net drop height, nozzle diameter, jet circle diameter or Pelton cup width, must be determined precisely.

In accordance with the client, affected turbine parts can be rebuilt and replaced.

If too many turbine parts are affected and need to be replaced, or if the maximum output can be increased by changing the hydraulic data, a complete replacement of the turbine is in some cases more cost-effective or more sensible.
